Activities undertaken by Metalicy in the framework of the campaign 'Mobilising globally against precarious work'.
On 10th -13th September TU ‘Metalicy’ held meetings of its Coordination council on which the topic ‘precarious work’ was
discussed. As a result of the discussions the Coordination council adopted a declaration which was submitted to the Government of Republic of Bulgaria.
On 1st-5th October TU ‘Metalicy’ held XIII National metalworkers’ sport games. 200 metalworkers from all metallurgic plants where TU ‘Metalicy’ has organizations took part in the games.
The participants were competing in the following disciplines: mini- football/ women and men/, volley-ball /women and men/, tennis-court /women and men/, table-tennis /women and men/, chess /women and men/, bridge /women and men/, rope towing /women and men/, swimming /women and men/.
The activity was held under the motto ‘Mobilising globally against precarious work’. All participants received info leaflets and posters.

The EMF Collective Bargaining Policy Conference 2009 launched the 2nd Common Demand:
“For more secure employment, against precarious work”,
which will be included in the collective bargaining demands of all its 75 affiliated trade unions and in future collective bargaining rounds throughout Europe over the next four years.
