Is Europe finally going to get legislation on temporary agency work?
Will the agency workers in Europe be protected by the right to equal treatment with regard to pay and other working conditions?
Will a probable proposal by the Slovenian presidency for a Directive on working conditions for temporary workers finally break the deadlock in the Council on the topic?
Following a compromise struck between the United Kingdom Government, the Trades Union Congress (TUC) and the Confederation of British Industry (CBI) on the issue of temporary work, there is a high probability that one of the governments blocking an agreement at EU level will be ready to change its position at European level.
Our book launch on 10th June takes place at the most opportune moment with respect to the political moves on temporary agency work as it will be discussed by the European political representatives at the 9th June Employment, Social Policy, Health and Consumer Affairs Council (EPSCO).
The day after you will have the opportunity to discuss the topic with academics and key actors.
